My formal study of piano began at age 8 and focused mainly on classical music, but I have enjoyed playing contemporary, popular and jazz music as well.  I  took lessons from well known teachers in the area and participated in music festivals and competitions until I graduated from High School.  I have accompanied for chorus groups, seminary and church.   

As an Instructor for College of Eastern Idaho (formerly Eastern Idaho Technical College) teaching CNA and other classes specific to my Nursing employment, I learned to love & value the experience of educating and assisting students of all ages to pursue goals and reach their dreams.  This attitude carries over into my piano teaching.  I have 6 years experience in teaching both children and adults.

Currently a member of local, state and national Music Teachers Associations and local Associations and Clubs, I advance through webinars, lessons, classes, conferences and workshops.  This also provides my students access to perform and earn awards at combined studio concerts and the Upper Valley Music Teachers Association Music Festivals.

I'm an active member of the Idaho Music Teacher's Association and have volunteered my time as their newsletter specialist and editor in 2018-2019.

A
